Paying for dental care
Some dental clinics provide care on a “sliding-scale” basis to people with limited or no dental coverage. Some clinics take MaineCare for adults and/or children. Some dental clinics only take patients who live in the county or region where they are located and other rules may apply. Call the clinic directly to make sure they have the services you need. What does MaineCare cover?
MaineCare covers most dental services for children and young adults under age 21. Call MaineCare Member Services at 1-800-977-6740 to find a participating dentist near you. MaineCare covers comprehensive preventative, diagnostic, and restorative dental services for members age 21 and over. In some cases, MaineCare also covers dentures.
