Need Health Coverage?

We Can Help

If you, or someone you know needs health coverage, there are options.  The time of year, household size, income, age, and health status help determine which programs you are eligible for and when you can enroll. These programs include:

  • MaineCare - Maine's Medicaid program for qualifying individuals and families.
  • Maine's Health Insurance Marketplace - also known as CoverME, ACA coverage, or Obamacare, is where individuals and families who do not qualify for MaineCare or do not have affordable coverage through an employer, can shop for plans and get credits to help pay their premiums.
  • Hospital Free Care and Sliding Scale - programs offered by hospitals for patients with medical bills that meet certain income guidelines.
  • Medicare - the federal health insurance program available to many U.S. citizens who are 65 and older or disabled.

At Consumers for Affordable Health Care, we understand it can all get very confusing so we are here to help! If you don’t find what you need, or if you have questions about something you read on our website, please contact us.
