Double check. If you are over income for MaineCare, you could be eligible for “Medically Needy” coverage, sometimes called the “Spend Down” or “Deductible” program.
Some medical expenses could be covered by MaineCare once you exceed your "Spend Down" limit. This can be an important safety net if you have high medical bills. You may also be able to get more help through other programs.
