The MaineCare Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) is a council of current or former MaineCare members, family members of a MaineCare member and paid or unpaid family caregivers of a MaineCare member, who will offer diverse perspective and insight to the MaineCare program through their experience. The council's recommendations will support policy and program changes. When choosing members, preference will go to individuals who do not already participate in another MaineCare advisory group, worked in government, and do not represent an advocacy group – either paid or unpaid.

What happens next?
Staff members from CAHC will receive and review your application. We will only share your information with MaineCare staff if you are selected for next steps in the application process. If you are selected as a Beneficiary Advisory Council member, we will reach out to you in early March 2025 based on your communication preference. Why Apply? Joining The MaineCare Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) will give you an opportunity to share your feedback and experience in monthly meetings. If selected you’ll be paid $100 for each monthly meeting you attend! Fill out the form below to apply.

Who Can Apply? Current or former MaineCare members, family members of a MaineCare member, and paid or unpaid family caregivers of a MaineCare member can all apply. When choosing members, preference will go to individuals who do not already participate in another MaineCare advisory group, have not worked in government, and do not represent an advocacy group – either paid or unpaid.
