Online Health Care Guide

Everyone's situation is different
The best health care option for you depends on many different things. That is why we provide a free HelpLine to assist people in identifying, applying for, enrolling in, and navigating programs. The purpose of the Online Health Care Guide is to offer a basic overview of health care in Maine - what programs are out there and who they serve.

As a citizen of Maine, you have the right to obtain medically necessary care. Help is available for many Mainers who need it, and it can be as close as a phone call. This Guide will explain who to call, and how to find out what you need to know. If you don't find what you need, call the HelpLine at 1-800-965-7476 or email jderrico@mainecahc.org.

How to use the Guide
Since program guidelines are different based on age, household type, and other factors, that is how we have tried to organize this Guide. You can use the Guide by using the pop up menu to the left, under "Health Care Guide." Or, you can use the links provided in the menu box to the right, found on every page of the Guide.
